課程概述

We will begin by giving a quick overview of Immanuel Kant’s short book “Groundwork for the Metaphysics of Morals” (1785). Then we will concentrate on the last part and discuss the problem of free will. We will begin to read some secondary literature, of which there is much available, by H.J. Paton, Henry Allison, Jens Timmermann, Dieter Schonecker, and many others.

 The course objective is to arrive at a better understanding of the moral philosophy and transcendental philosophy by Immanuel Kant.
